Huawei has released its nova 14 series in the UAE, introducing new camera hardware designed to improve portrait photography and color reproduction.
The nova 14 Pro features what Huawei calls an Ultra Chroma Camera, which uses multispectral light sensors instead of standard RGB technology. According to the company’s lab testing, this produces 120% better color accuracy compared to the previous nova 13 Pro model. The phone also includes a 50MP front camera with autofocus and a zoom range from 0.8x to 5x.
Both the front and rear cameras on the nova 14 Pro support what Huawei describes as Ultra Speed Snapshot, aimed at capturing moving subjects without blur. The phone includes AI-powered editing features, including a tool that removes unwanted objects from photos and another that selects the best facial expressions from burst shots.
The nova 14 series comes with 100W SuperCharge Turbo fast charging and a 5500mAh battery. The charging system includes AI temperature control to manage heat during charging.
The phones run on Huawei’s upgraded EMUI software. New features include a customizable Smart Controls Button activated by double-tapping, and AI Gesture Control for hands-free navigation through air scrolling and screenshot gestures.
Privacy features include AI Messaging, which automatically conceals sensitive notifications, along with updated Privacy and Security centers that monitor data access and flag potentially risky apps.
The nova 14 Pro has a 6.78″ curved display, while the standard nova 14 uses a 6.7″ flat OLED screen. Both models are available in Crystal Blue, White, and Black.
The nova 14 series is available now through Huawei’s website and retail stores, with pricing starting at AED 1399.
