TL;DR
- A product registration leak on Audeze’s site revealed the Maxwell 2 headset before the page was pulled.
- The leaked image shows a similar design with changes to the ear pads, headband, and venting.
- Gamers are speculating about improved mic quality, dual wireless support, and lighter weight.
- Rumored launch window: January–February 2026, possibly around CES.
Audeze’s next-generation Maxwell 2 headset has been revealed in an unexpected leak, following the product’s brief appearance on the company’s official registration page. The listing included a high-resolution image of the device and was quickly taken down, but not before users captured and shared it online.

The image shows a headset that closely resembles the original Audeze Maxwell, with some notable visual differences. These include what appear to be new venting cutouts on the ear cups, revised ear cushions, and a slightly modified headband design. No official specs have leaked, but the design changes have sparked discussion about the improvements fans are hoping to see.
The original Maxwell was released in 2022 and has gained a favorable reputation for its planar magnetic drivers and cross-console support. But it also drew some criticism for its weight, headband comfort, microphone performance, and sidetone implementation. Those issues should be easy enough for Audeze to address in the new model.
Another area where expectations have risen is simultaneous dual wireless connectivity. This feature enables a headset to receive audio from both a USB dongle and a Bluetooth device simultaneously. It has become increasingly common in modern headsets, and I’m willing to bet we will see it on the Maxwell 2.
We asked you what you hope to see on the Maxwell 2. According to our ongoing poll, the most-requested improvements are a lighter build, active noise canceling, and a more cushioned headband, along with interest in stronger sub-bass and a more accessible price.

Audeze has not commented on the listing or provided any public information about the timing. However, the completeness of the product imagery suggests the headset is nearing launch. An announcement in early 2026, possibly aligned with CES, seems increasingly likely.
